About the Author
Charles Ghigna (also known as Father Goose(R)) lives in a treehouse in Alabama. He is the author of more than 100 award-winning books for children and adults from Random House, Capstone, Disney, Hyperion, Scholastic, Simon & Schuster, Abrams, Charlesbridge and other publishers. His poems appear in hundreds of magazines from The New Yorker and Harper's to Cricket and Highlights. He is a former poetry editor of the English Journal and nationally syndicated feature writer for Tribune Media Services. Ag Jatkowska has been drawing and playing with color ever since she can remember. She loved to create as a child and dreamed of being an artist from a very young age. Ag now lives in Bath and works as a full-time illustrator and she has been dealing with illustration, graphic design, greeting cards, stationery and photography. Ag graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk (Poland) with a MA in Graphic Design and Illustration. She really enjoys illustrating children and animal characters, creating their personalities visually, and making them come alive on the page. She has produced illustrations for various publishers. In her spare time she loves to discover new places, spending time with her husband and her little son, she loves children books, film, yoga and chocolate. Pretty but I'm confused...

A pretty little poem and lovely, color-rich illustrations make LITTLE SEEDS and eye-catching and cute board book. But as part of the My Little Planet series I'm utterfly baffled as to what this one has to do with encouraging environmentalism in little readers. With other titles focusing on recycling and litter pick-up how does planting flowers measure up? I get it and yet I don't. Plants are important to our environment but there's really no presentation of it that way here.

Pushing that aside--even though it is what drew me to the book for my voraciously book loving 2-year-old--this is a cute book. There's a welcome spring message that translated really well with my little one even though we're still stuck in dreary winter. She loved telling me what she was seeing in the pictures and naming the colors of things. The craft in the back is classic and will be lots of fun when my little one is a bit older.

Though I wish it was more about an environmental issue in direction LITTLE SEEDS is not one to pass up. We loved the images and the poem was easy for me to read while holding my little girl's attention. A nice addition to our board book library.

In the late 20th century, the ever-growing awareness of the environmental damage which the use of CFCs causes to the ozone layer, as well as the increasing pressure to find alternative energy sources beyond fossil fuels, has rekindled the interest in the development of adsorption refrigeration technology. Adsorption refrigeration is driven by low grade heat, such as solar thermal energy, waste heat from industrial processes or power engines, thus it is a type of energy saving technology. Adsorption refrigeration is also a green technology because of the refrigerants it utilizes are normally natural refrigerants such as water, methanol and ammonia.

The authors in Shanghai Jiao Tong University have worked on the adsorption refrigeration for over 20 years, including adsorption mechanisms (both physical and chemical adsorption), thermodynamic cycles, and also thermal designs of adsorption refrigeration systems. They developed the composite adsorbents, constructed the zeolite or silica gel-water adsorption chillers, and also composite adsorbent-ammonia adsorption refrigerators, they even commercialized the small scale silica gel-water adsorption chillers. On the basis of the achievements of the academics worldwide and their own experience on the research, the
