Just what I was looking for!

This is a great book! They manage to put enough things in here to encourage and challenge you and yet not too much -- they wont scare you away. It dose get almost too detailed from time to time but for the most part they really have a book here that anyone new or experienced in the field can enjoy. I love it and would love to get this out to my friends and neighbors.

Nice introduction but lacks depth

While this book covers a lot of ground, it never digs in very deeply. How about some specifics on green roof components or support systems for living walls? This book doesn't provide those kinds of details. Although it has directories of plants for roofs and walls, the descriptions are very sketchy and, for most of the species, it doesn't provide hardiness zones. You'll have to be familiar with them or do additional research just to determine if they'll survive in your climate. For green roof plants, take a look at the Snodgrass book on green roof plants instead. Planting Green Roofs and Living Walls is a good introduction but you'll need to look at other books that provide more detailed case studies.

Great information on big vines and big trellises

After combing the internet, (and I went from top to bottom), I found there was just NO information on how to secure a Wisteria to a wall. The plant has a habit of growing 18 inch+ trunks, and destroys trellises it is climbing upon. It's no joke growing a Wisteria.

Enter the book "Planting Green Roofs and Living Walls" By Nigel Dunnet and Noel Kingsbury. Some good ole boys from Germany who love to talk about vines and roof grass. Who would have thought there are German Hippies? Well, it takes a German Hippy to figure this stuff out. The book is first part - roofs, second part heavy vines. Most references in the book are related to Wisteria,which is why it works so well.

I learned alot about what I needed. Great addition to the library for any vine gardener.

In Bitter Tempest

The author, Stephen Regan, has done an excellent job of summing the book. Admiral Frank Jack Fletcher is a an integral figure in the Pacific War, WW II and has received much harsh criticism, relegating him to the category of mediocrity at best. Other authors have not investigated the facts as has Mr. Regan. In my opinion, This book is essential to those studying the naval war with Japan. The book explains much beyond just the admiral's personal situation, too, including naval politics of the day, an essential element of the picture.

fast paced, easy reding

This was a fast read that kept me turning the pages to see what was next. I can't wait to start the second story.

Needs a serious edit.

Poor grammar and sentence structure and an apparent unwillingness to use commas didn't help the readability of this novella at all.  I lost patience and gave up at the halfway point. 

By this stage I should have been able to work out the basics of what was going on and who all the characters were and which side, either good or bad, they were on. Don't have a clue. 

Definitely one for the DNF pile.  Can't recommend it either.

You'll be hooked

Be prepared to be hooked on this series. Very well written and action packed. This book's main character is a 17 year old high school student who's life has been turned upside down and is not only thrown into a war but is the expected hero....no pressure.
Even as an adult I have really enjoyed this book. Definitely worth 5 stars.
I read on this author's blog that when the forth book, now in editing is released the first three will no longer free but $2.99.
Are they worth it? Yes. Will I buy the upcoming books? Yes.

About the Author
Ahmed El Bishry studied and worked in Egypt, Germany, UK, Ireland, USA and Australia. In addition he tutored and examined surgery students in some of these countries. El Bishry started as a general surgeon and later specialized in cardiac and vascular surgery. He had authored books and individual chapters that were widely appreciated by medical students and surgeons alike. Amr Mohsen is senior professor of surgery at Cairo University, Egypt. He has been practicing general surgery since 1980. Professor Mohsen is a seasoned tutor and examiner at a multitude of national and international medical schools. He is also the editor of Kasr El-Aini Introduction to Surgery, Multiple Choice Questions and Rapid Revision of Surgery and Surgery Notes. All are regularly updated to suit the evolving needs for modern surgical practice.

A Nanny tale of Brotherly love

If you're a fan of Sean Michael's non-Bdsm and especially his Manny stories you will enjoy this book. To be a family story there is a lot of action/drama. And as in any Michael book there are some some lengthy detailed sensual scenes.

Adam is at his wits end. At only twenty-one years of age he has been responsible for his five siblings since the death of his parents. He's attempting to earn his Masters degree when he receives another shock with the death of his academic mentor. Inheriting her wealth and mansion does not mitigate the additional heartache, but it does afford him the much needed services of a Manny.

An experienced caretaker is needed for this traumatized family with headstrong teenagers and little girls just over the toddler stage. From super cramped conditions to a Mac-mansion would seem a windfall if it didn't add to Adam's plate already overloaded with responsibilities. It's at this juncture that the Manny arrives and not a moment too soon. He has to take over immediately to aid this very overburdened family. Adam is in no condition to make rational decisions. Hutch recognizes the symptoms of PTSD and does what he needs to insure Adam begins to recover.

There are a lot of problems plaguing this large family of siblings. It took them awhile to get into the state they're in and instant solutions won't help. Hutch has to call on all of his Manny skills to help this super stressed family. By helping them, by opening himself to them, he ends up helping himself and the family that would become truly his.

Ultra feel-good romance. Nanny falls for his employer and the kids. The kids are front and centre early, warm fuzzy feelings all around. Adam finally comes forward as a character when the romance and sex get going in the latter half.

A few minor editing problems really can't dint the good will of this fireplace book.

Professional nanny Hutchison Sparks feels as though he’s walked into a war zone when he meets a new prospective client and family. Years of experience with caring for families is clearly desperately needed by the large Conklin clan.

Three years ago the Conklin siblings lost their parents in a tragic accident. The eldest son Adam is a budding academic at the nearby college. Middle of the pack are Briony a high school senior and Charlie a few years behind. Next follows the ‘littles’ – Darla who will start first grade and the twins Elizabeth and Felicia barely four.

In a small apartment on a strict budget Adam managed to keep his overflowing family together. He relied on their mother’s best friend and his mentor, Professor Helena Hunter, for moral support and occasional help until her recent death. She’s left the Conklins her large estate and a huge bucket of money. Adam would trade it all to have Helena back in their lives again.

Having enough money to hire Hutch is certainly a godsend. It’s going to be a huge adjustment for everyone though it’s easy to see that the family needs the added stability. Even Adam, who’s still reeling from Helena’s death could use a shoulder occasionally. Over time Hutch realizes he’s falling in love with Adam and his family. Keeping a professional arms distance will only last so long…

Completely enchanting. A loving, lovely tale. And Manny Makes Seven absolutely falls under the ‘feel good’ romance heading. There are realistic family situations, issues and troubles from nasty boyfriends to a case of food poisoning. Adam and Hutch’s romance unfolds naturally within the confines of this delightful heartwarming story. An easy, breezy good read, And Manny Makes Seven hit’s the spot.

Doctor Who And His Clever Little TARDIS!

I must say the English publishers know how to package and design their specialty books. At first glance, the sleek cover and smooth leather-like (really palstic) cover (binding) catches your eye because of the great photo of David Tenant (The Doctor) and Freema Agyeman (Marhta)- but once you open it up with it's cool magnetic security side pannel - you'll find a really well illustrated assembly manual.

Filled with pictures and and diagrams - it walks you through the process of building the 10th Doctor's TARDIS console. Sturdy plastic pieces that are all combined/contained in a self-sealing packet.

Each piece is detailed and colored and seems to fit with other pieces. It is very detailed and will take a little time to assemble. Once you do it is awesome! Especially in detail.

I would recommend this to the young adult - to adult. Using some patience and model building basics - assemble this TARDIS console was fun and engaging.

More like a jigsaw puzzle than a kit

First let me confess my own stupidity. I wanted a Tardis phone box, not just an interior. The fault is mine; the kit is clearly marked.

The kit consists of sheets of plastic-covered cardboard, with the parts pre-printed. They separate from the sheets easily and are of high quality. The directions are clear and illustrated, so it's hard to make a mistake.

However, assembling the kit involves a LOT of "insert tab in slot", and there are about a zillion such tabs and slots --- and that's the problem. I haven't done such assembly in many years, and as the assembly gets more complex it gets increasingly difficult to get all those tabs and slots connected. I finally abandoned the project about 2/3 of the way through.

This is fine for those who don't mind the rather tedious assembly process. For me, it just didn't work.

Through The Storm!

Through The Storm starts were MAke it Rain left off. They are at the hospital awaiting news on their loved ones. The Police are taking statements, until Vincent steps in and puts a stop to it with out there council present. To say the least they are all being put under more stress then need be, if you ask me. We see love, trust, commitment, in Through The Storm and we see that you don't have to be blood to be family... I don't want to give away any thing but you you don't want to miss out on the ride.

Brilliant 2nd book

This book picks up where book one leaves off. The people are all the same and the book is a continuation of Make it Rain and the rollarcoaster ride continues. I ended up at the end of the book saying no way you can't it end now which was the same for the first book.

Please Terri Marie hurry up with Book 3
