About the Author

Stephen F Witt is a Visiting Professor in the School of Hotel and Tourism Management at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and is an Emeritus Professor at the University of Surrey, UK. Prior to this he was Professor of Tourism Forecasting in the School of Management at the University of Surrey, UK. He has published 150 journal articles and book chapters, as well as 20 books. The latter include: the Tourism Marketing and Management Handbook; The Management of International Tourism; Modeling and Forecasting Demand in Tourism; Tourism Demand Modelling and Forecasting: Modern Econometric Approaches; Tourism Forecasts for Europe 2001-2005; and Asia Pacific Tourism Forecasts 2006 -2008 .

Gang Li obtained his BA and MSc degrees from the Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (DUFE) in China and PhD from the University of Surrey in England. His research interests include tourism economics, statistics and Chinese economy. He has published a number of articles in such academic journals as: International Journal of Forecasting, Journal of Travel Research, Tourism Management, and Tourism Economics.

Haiyan Song has a background in Economics and his main research area is tourism economics with a particular focus on tourism demand modeling and forecasting. He was educated both in China and the UK and has extensive research experiences in such areas as foreign direct investment (FDI) in China and economic issues related to China's tourism sector. Song joined the Hong Kong Polytechnic University as Chair Professor in Tourism in 2004 and before that he was Professor of Economics (Tourism) at the University of Surrey in the UK.

The Spanish translation of "The Tequila Worm" is now available. This Great book by the award winning author, Viola Canales, is the story of young Sofia. Told in a vignettes format, the takes place in a Barrio in Texas. The characters are great and strong and take you to places in the heart. I urge any school librarian or public librarian purchase this book for the Spanish speaking community.

Los cuentos en esta novela te obligan apreciar el valor de tradición, la importancia de familia y al mismo tiempo no olvidar quien eres. Este libro te hace reír, llorar y aclamar. Es una novela intemporal que puedes seguir leyendo.

I wanted to read this book in Spanish but my kindle was not using my Spanish-English dictionary, instead it went to my English dictionary. After several tries to correct this with customer service i was assured that I would get a message very soon saying the problem was fixed. I never did.

Don't waste your money

If you're like me and you find the Medieval languages of Europe fascinating, you might try learning Old High German. Don't bother getting the 'new' book version of Wright's 'Old High German Primer.' The layout of the book have been taken from the text version of what's already been uploaded to places like Google Books and the Internet Archive. This format is terrible.
If you really want to learn Old High German, Wright's Primer is the place to go, but get it free off online. Don't waste money with a poorly produced new version. If they had used the scanned form (like the version at UPenn, or the pdf version) it would be a different story.

Looks very interesting, just beginning to use this book.

I am just beginning to use this book for my genealogy hobby. I am researching my medieval ancestors and the time period I'm working in is the time of the Old High German language. Charlemagne etc spoke Old High German. It is helping to understand documents I run into as well as giving an idea of the way they spoke back then. Very cool. Again, I'm just beginning to use, so I will surely be reviewing it better later.. I am excited to have it.

Book just what I needed for class. Decent glossary in the back of the book. Grammar categorizations helpful, but not much in the way of explanations. Straightforward text.
